B4C Second Newsletter Released – October 2024
We are excited to announce the release of the second newsletter for the Biochar and Circular Carbon Economy Competences (B4C) project. This edition provides a comprehensive update on the progress of the project, highlighting key achievements and upcoming developments.
Key Highlights
Innovative Learning Formats and Competence Framework:
- The project is advancing with Work Package 2 (WP2), which focuses on gathering innovative educational formats related to the circular carbon economy (CCE) and biomass-biochar chains. WP2 also aims to develop a competence framework for planning and validating learning outcomes in VET programs. This framework will be crucial for incorporating biochar into educational settings across Europe.
Data Collection Progress:
- The project partners have been actively collecting data through surveys and interviews, involving stakeholders to understand the needs and challenges of integrating biochar and CCE into vocational education. The collected data will shape the next phase of the project, which involves developing blended learning courses and modules.
Next Steps:
- With data collection nearing completion, the team will move on to analyzing the results to inform the development of educational materials. These next steps will ensure that the project delivers practical, competence-based learning solutions for educators and learners involved in sustainability.
Collaborating Partners:
The newsletter also highlights the contributions of project partners from across Europe, including Blinc (Germany), Folkuniversitetet (Sweden), DEULA-Nienburg (Germany), Institut de Formation Sectoriel du Bâtiment (Luxembourg), and ASTREDHOR (France).
